With respect to the British Ministry of Information…keep calm.

Let’s face it, there are a lot of unsettling things going on in the world.  The bad news is this has always been the case and will never stop.  Wars, storms, plagues, earthquakes, and other disasters will continue to occur just as they have since the dawn of civilization.  The good news however is that humanity has never been in a better position to mitigate the affects of these events.  Furthermore, preparing before disaster strikes can help lessen anxiety about the future.

When you are ready for an event, you are more calm and relaxed.  This principle applies in business, athletics, the military, and other fields, which is why people take the time to get ready before an expected event.  Training and preparation often times make the difference between success and failure.

So take time to be prepared by reading, researching, and learning how to handle situations you may face in the future.  There will be more articles posted in the coming weeks and months about specific events and how to prepare for them.  In the meantime, take small steps today to increase both your awareness and preparedness so you can remain calm during unsettling times.
