The Swiss Tech Utili Key is a decent tool that I have added to my Every Day Carry (EDC) gear. Since I have been carrying it for a while, I decided now is a good time to review one of my latest acquisitions.

Swiss Tech Utili Key
The first thing I noticed is how small this tool is, it is not much larger or thicker than a normal key. In fact, I have mine on my keychain next to the other ones I normally carry. It packs a lot of functionality in a small package too, the following tools are a part of the 6-in-1:
- Flat Screwdriver
- Phillips Screwdriver
- Micro-Sized Screwdriver
- Straight Blade Knife
- Serrated Blade Knife
- Bottle Opener
I must also say, for a Made in China product, the build quality of this multi-tool is pretty good. The metal appears to be high-grade and the hinge works much better than any other imported tool that I have used. The Swiss Tech Utili Key opens and closes with a solid feel, so I think it has been well-designed. It really is a nice little tool in a neat package.
The big problem is that it is so little. The tools are helpful for use on small jobs where leverage and size aren’t important. I think the Swiss Tech Utili Key can come in handy around the office or on the trail, but its value will be limited by its size. Its a novel tool that is compromised by its size, thereby limiting its usefulness
Pros: Six tools in a key-sized package
Cons: Tools are very small and hard to use because of their size
I really like this tool and carry it every day. However, I am also keenly aware of its limitations and don’t rely upon it. I have other tools in my inventory that will be my primary, go-to ones when I need them. For me, the Swiss Tech Utili Key will be my backup and not much more than that.
